Mrs. Delilah Rambo, Pioneer, Dies at 90
Mrs. Delilah Rambo, 90, died at 5:30 p.m. Sunday in her home, 906 East Wood street. She came to Macon county with her parents by ox train at the age of 10 and settled near Sangamon. She was married to Reuben Rambo in Sangamon Feb. 14, 1872. He died in 1930. Mrs. Rambo recalled seeing Lincoln at political rallies in Decatur. She was a member of the Seventh Street Christian church. She leaves two sons, Lynn, with whom she made her home, and Albert V. Rambo, San Antonio, Texas. She was the oldest and last member of her family. The body was removed to the Moran & Sons funeral home. Arrangements are incomplete.
