TUCSON, Ariz.—Raymond Beery, 86, Tucson, a former Buchanan County, Mo., zoning board member, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 1990, at a Tucson hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Buchanan County, he had made his home in the Frazier and Gower, Mo., areas, before moving to Tucson. He was a retired farmer.
Mr. Beery had served on the zoning and FHA boards, both of Buchanan County and the University of Missouri's Buchanan County Extension Council.
He was active in 4-H work and also had served as a Buchanan County Democratic committeeman for a number of years. Mr. Beery was a member of the Masonic lodge and the Frazier, Mo. Baptist Church.
In 1927, Mr. Beery married the former Gladys Gibson. She died in 1966. He then married the former Ruth Hire, who survives of the home.
Additional survivors: a son. Chuck of Gower, Mo.; two daughters, Jean of McMinnville, Tenn., and Janette Allgaier of Gower; a brother , Ronald of St. Joseph; a sister, Thelma Bowlin of Salem, Ore.; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower. Burial: Allen Cemetery, Gower. Family visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where Masonic services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
