The daughter of Hugo Asmus, Sr. and Marie M. "Mary" Amelung, "Ida" was married to August Johann Heinrich Boenker . They were the parents of 2 children.

Visitation was held at Baumann Brothers Funeral Home on Woodson Road in Overland, Missouri. Funeral services were conducted at Mizpah Presbyterian Church at Fee Fee Road and St. Charles Rock Road in Bridgeton, Missouri at 2 p.m. on the afternoon of 06 Feb 1952 .

Ida's husband, August, passed away in 1955 and was buried next to her.
