Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Lee Jenkins, passed away on Thursday December 17, 2009.

Lee was born on August 20, 1931 in Midvale, UT to Sir Walter Jenkins and Ellen Jensen Jenkins.

Lee grew up in Midvale, Utah, where he spent much of his youth working on many of the farms in West Jordan. He graduated from Jordan High School in 1950.

He married Joyce Lee on April 12, 1951 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They were blessed with five children, sixteen grandchildren, and thirty-five great-grandchildren.

Lee was an Eagle Scout and participated in the scouting program for many years. He was involved with the West Jordan Lions Club and also served as a volunteer fireman for West Jordan City. He retired from Kennecott Copper after thirty-four years of service.

After his retirement he worked for the LDS Church and Classic Press with his son Blake. He held many callings in the LDS church including working in the Jordan River Temple as a temple worker. He served two church service missions with his wife Joyce where they met many good friends.

Lee was a people person, he never met a stranger. Lee and Joyce loved to travel and were able to visit many wonderful places. Throughout his life Lee enjoyed hunting, bowling, and golfing. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
