Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 14 at the Conway Baptist Church for Mrs. Cora Belle Benage. Burial was in the Conway Baptist Church.
She was the former Cora Thornsberry, daughter of the John Thornsberrys who lived in Miller County near Iberia.
She was the wife of the late Dr. O.C. Benage of Conway who at one time practiced in Brumley. She is survived by two sons, J.C. and Paul of Lebanon and a daughter, Mrs. Lois Smith of Conway.
Attending the funeral from Iberia were Mrs. Cora Benage and son, Norman Benage.

There is a variance on the spelling of her maiden name: Thornbury, Thornsberry, Thornberry. It has been repeated to me that Cora's maiden name was spelled incorrectly on her death certificate and in this obituary.
