Arnold Bole, 64, died Sunday morning, Sept. 23, at his home after a very brief illness. He was the son of James and Susan Bole and was born in Grant County, IN. He went to Illinois as a young man where he worked in the oil fields for thirty-eight years. He with his family returned to Van Buren Township twelve years ago and lived on a farm near Farrville until about a year ago he moved into Van Buren.
He was married to Velva Camblin in 1904. To this union were born four children. One son, Ernest, died in 1927 at the age of 21. Those living are two sons, Roy of Cresson, Texas and Wilbur at home and one daughter, Mrs. Freda Spencer of near Farrville. Other survivors are 4 grandchildren, two brothers, Joe of Van Buren and David M. of Lawrenceville, Ill; and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Oxley of Van Buren and Mrs. Lucy Oxley of Matthews besides several nieces and nephews.
The deceased was a member of the White Oak Christian Church at Oblong, Ill.
Short funeral services were conducted at the home on Tuesday morning, after which the body was taken to Oblong, Ill. for burial.
