Sherman Wirick native of Ohio and practically a lifelong resident of this community, died this morning at his home, 907 S. Main St. from complications. He was born Dec. 31, 1860 in Richland County, O., the son of George W. and Sarah Wirick. The parents moved here in 1863 locating on a farm in Allen Twp and later in Jefferson Twp. He took up the occupation of farmer which he followed until 1930 when he and his wife moved from their farm to the home on S. Main St. He married Martha L. Walters Dec. 8, 1887. Their one child died in infancy. Surviving are the widow; 3 sisters and one brother, Mrs. Ida Black and F. O. Wirick, this city, Mrs. Frances O. Faux and Mrs. Dora Barhan, Mt. Pleasant. One sister preceded him in death. Funeral Thursday from L. E. Berhalter & Son Funeral Home. Burial, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery
