Pearl Ballard died Saturday at McCray Hospital. She was born in Decatur on April 2, 1892, the daughter of Mac and Amanda Berkhead. She was married in 1909 in Decatur to Leroy Ballard, who died in 1977. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Amanda) Kneval, Burr Oak, Mich., Mrs. Goldia Kneval, Sturgis, Mich., and Miss Norma Jean, Rome City; three sons, James, Sturgis, Mich., Fred and Leroy, Rome City; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services Tuesday at Berhalter-Hutchins Funeral Home
