BOLCKOW, Mo. Carol Budgett, 55. Bolckow, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003 at her home following a lengthy illness.
Born Oct. 8, 1948 at the family home in Agency, Mo., she lived in the area for most of her life, moving to Bolckow in 1991.
She was a 1966 graduate of the Faucett, Mo. High School, and later graduated from the Brevard, Fla. Community College. A licensed cosmetologist, she owned and operated Covenant Crafts and Beauty Salon.
She was a founding member of Faith United Baptist Church, St. Joseph; and was also a member of the Three for Him Vocal Group.
She was preceded in death by her son, Brad Harrison Pettijohn in 1971.
On Dec. 16, 1983, she married Tom Budgett in Melbourne, Fla. He survives of the home.
Survivors: her daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Darin Gragg, of Bolckow; two step-daughters, Alisha and Melissa, both of New Hampshire; her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Carla Pettijohn, and son Daryl Pettijohn, all of Fillmore. Mo.; step-son Joshua Budgett and his wife, Shirley, of Concord, N.H.; three sisters, Audry Lassen, of Fillmore, Sandy Beattie. of Rosendale, Mo., Rhonda Gabriel of St. Joseph; two brothers, Everett Lee Wheeler, of Faucett, Jesse Wheeler, of Agency; her parents Everett and Sarah (Thompson) Wheeler; and seven grandchildren.
Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Breit & Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah, Mo. Interment: Agency Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. today, at the funeral home. Memorials: Midland Ministries, 601 IIlinois St. Joseph, 64504.
