Enlisted in D Co. 43rd Infantry Reg. GA-- Private -Confederate
Regiment of Georgia Volunteers, Stovall's Brigade.
While engaged in service in Tennessee, May 5, 186 2, he contracted typhoid fever at Chattanooga. He was then taken to Atlanta an June 6, 1862 and exposed to a gale of east wind and rain. Relapse settled in right hip and caused a dislocation of spine of 4 inches rendering right leg useless.
Civil War- Captured & imprisoned at Camp Chase, Ohio March 4, 1862 February 29, 1864, roll shows Almond Hulsey, absent at home, disabled by typhoid fever.
