Frances Joyner -GRAY - Frances Deal Joyner, 89, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2009 in a local nursing care facility.

Graveside services will be held at 2P.M. Saturday in Riverside Cemetery, North Gate with the Rev. Tim Oliver and the Rev. Scott Russell officiating.

The family will meet with friends following the service and suggests that those who wish make memorial contributions to the , P. O. Box 4406, Macon 31208.

Mrs. Joyner, wife of the late Joseph R. Joyner, was born in Statesboro the daughter of the late Dr. Benjamin A. Deal and Ruby Strickland Deal. She was educated in Statesboro and was a graduate of Georgia Teachers College (now Georgia Southern University) where she earned her teacher's certificate. She later became a homemaker and was active in her children's schools with the P.T.A. Living in Macon since 1957, Mrs. Joyner was a member of the Civic Women's Club and a longtime member of Vineville Presbyterian Church where she was active in the life of her church.

Survivors include her daughter, Becky J. Doster of Lawrenceville; two sons, Joseph Richard (Dick) Joyner (Peggi) of Lake Sinclair and formerly of Macon and
Robert Douglas (Doug) Joyner of East Point, FL; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and her sister-in-law, Barbara Deal of Augusta.
