MARY ANN (ALLNUTT) SKILES died between 1835 and 1839. Her date of birth is unknown.

PARENTS:
William Allnutt
Mary Ruth Riley

SPOUSE: Owen County, KY Marriage Records show that John Skiles and Mary Allnutt were married on October 15, 1829 by James Medley. The Bond was William Allnutt.

CHILDREN of John Skiles and Mary Allnutt:
1. John W. Skiles
born abt. July 1832 KY died betw. 1900-10 KY over age 68

2. Christiana Skiles
born about 1834 KY died between 1860-70 KY over age 25

It is possible that Mary Ann (Allnutt) Skiles died either giving birth to Christiana (about 1834) or shortly thereafter. By August 6, 1839, her widowed husband John Skiles married Margaret Sutton.

The following facts show there were existing "ties" between the Sutton and Allnutt families.
1) in John's second marriage to Margaret Sutton, the Bond was Daniel Allnutt who was Mary Ann's brother.
2) Daniel Allnutt's second wife was Hulda Sutton, who was Margaret's sister. This would mean that Daniel Allnutt was the brother-in-law of both John Skiles and Margaret Sutton.

To date, no burial site has been found for Mary Ann (Allnutt) Skiles or her husband John or their two children (John W. and Christiana Skiles). It is very probable that they were all buried near the Dallasburg area (now known as Wheatley) of Owen County since their families continued to live in that area after their respective deaths.
