Pauline Boulden, age 89, formerly of Stanton, DE, passed away Friday, May 5, 2006, at Churchman Village.
Pauline was born January 12, 1917 in Wilmington, DE, daughter of the late John U. and Frances Faber Ritchie. For more than 22 years, she worked in catalog sales at Sears, Roebuck and Co., retiring to care for her husband, Charles J. Boulden, who died August 31, 1975.
Pauline was also predeceased by her 2 brothers, Jack "John, Jr." and George Ritchie. Survivors include her son, David C. Boulden and his wife, Pat, of Bluffton, SC; daughter, Joanne B. Seeds and her husband, Tom, of Millsboro, DE; her grandchildren, Jeffrey C. Boulden and his wife, Sheryl, of Carmel, IN, Gregory D. Boulden and his wife Cheryl, of Forest Ranch, CA, Lisa B. Synnott and her husband, Steve, of Centennial, CO, Nicole F. Maynor and her husband, Paul, of Landenberg, PA and Gretchen L. Van Nostrand and her husband, Bryson, of Hacker Valley, WV; and 12 great grandchildren, who will remember her generosity, her beautiful flower beds and her delicious pies.
Pauline spent the last 10 years of her life at Churchman Village. Her family is indebted to the many, many staff members who gave lovingly of their time and attention to Pauline. Shelly is the Activity Director and was Pauline's best friend for the past 10 years.
A private graveside service was held Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at St. James Episcopal Church in Stanton, where Pauline was a longtime parishioner.
