ROCK SPRING, GA — "Scotty Mac" Wallace McClure, 69, died Sunday, December 13, 2009.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Verlin and Ruth Wallis McClure; sisters, Verlene McClure, Marie Mosteller; and brothers, Dan, Don, Marshell and Edward McClure.
He retired from Walker County Fire & Rescue of 31 years.
Survived by his wife and best friend of 25 years, Alberta McClure, Rock Spring, GA; sister, Joann McClure, Rock Spring, GA; daughter, Lynn McClure Tatum, Ringgold, GA; son, Terry and Debbie Lee, Fredericksburg, VA; daughter, Susie and Steve Bell, LaFayette, GA, Skeet and Debbie Gribble, LaFayette, GA; granddaughters, Mandy, Jessica and Mary Beth; grandsons, Matt, Chris, Jeremy, Steven, Scott and Cody; and great-granddaughter, Adrianna and McKenzie. Several nieces and nephews and many, many friends also survive.
Funeral from the Wallis Memorial Chapel today at 1 p.m. Service conducted by Waymond Westbrook and Brother Steve Bell.
Pallbearers are James Lively, Shawn Buck, Brent Martin, Eric Ashburn, Tony Stoker and Kevin Nowicki.
Honorary pallbearers are Raymond "Pete" Peters, Jake Morrison, Paul Boydston, Bruce Ballew, Gerald Wilson, Dennis Crim and Gene Garner.
Interment will be in Rock Spring Cemetery, LaFayette, GA.
