Mr. Willis M. Rucker, 79 of Jacksboro, died suddenly Tuesday evening at LaFollette Community Nursing Home. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jacksboro.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Martha Williams Rucker of Dayton, Tenn.; five sons, Willis of New York, William and John both of Jacksboro, Bobby Gene and Charles, both of North Carolina, step-son, Bill Slover of Jacksboro; daughter, Mrs. Vera French of Westerville, Ohio; step-daughter, Mrs. Ruth Woodward of Maryland; two sisters, Mrs. Eliza Green of Jacksboro and Miss Dovie Rucker of LaFollette; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 11 a.m. from Martins Chapel by the Rev. Everett Gaylor. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Martin Funeral Home, LaFollette, was in charge of arrangements.
