Eva Elaine Turner, who had completed the seventh grade in the Brasher public schools, died at the home of her parents in Brashear at 1:30 a.m. May 3, 1937, at the age of 13 years and 29 days. She became ill with influenza April 1, experiencing complications in the brain.

She was born near Queen City, April 4, 1924, a daughter of Chas. and Olive Templeman Turner. The family moved to Brashear in February 1934.

Elaine is survived by her parents, one sister, Beulah, at home, a brother, Harold of Lancaster, a grandfather, Loyd Templeman of Queen City, two uncles, three aunts and ten cousins. One brother, Raymond Lee, preceded her in death. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

The body was brought to Liberty church northwest of Lancaster, May 5th and funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. T. Andrews, assisted by Rev. Albert Blood of Brashear and the body laid to rest in the cemetery by the side of a brother. The friends and neighbors sympathize with the bereaved ones in their sorrow.
