Funeral services for Cleo Thompson, 72, Senath, Mo., were Monday, Feb. 14, 1994 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Senath, Mo., with Rev. Doug Clinton officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson died Friday, Feb. 11, 1994 at the Veterans Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was born Aug. 3, 1921 in Izard, Ark., to Walter Thompson and Cora Jane Gillihan Thompson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. On Aug. 3, 1940 in Twin Creek, Ark., he was married to Velma Mae Thompson, who preceded him in death on May 17, 1989.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy Ray Thompson of Phoenix, Arizona; four daughters, Cora Kelley of Senath, Mo., Nora Kelley of Kennett, Betty Ayers of Phoenix, Arizona, Irene Burton of Kennett; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
