Manford Ray Mounger, 78, passed away Thursday, April 8, 1999 in Tulsa, OK. Born in Byars, OK on April 26, 1920 to William and Della Mae Mounger. He graduated from Oklahoma University with a B.S. degree in Education. After graduation in 1942 he entered military service as a Second Lieutenant. He served in various locations in the U.S. and overseas. He attended Tulsa University to complete accounting requirements. Started work at Stanolind Oil and Gas Co. which began what turned out to be a 30 year career with Amoco in various locations, completing his career as Comptroller of Amoco Trinidad. Faithful worshipper in several Southern Baptist congregations in Tulsa and elsewhere, serving in a variety of roles including Church Treasurer. Survived by: devoted wife, Vinita Mounger of the home; son, Robert Mounger of Dallas, TX; step-son, Robert Reynolds of Tulsa, OK; brothers and sisters, Audrey Bilton, Dorothy Baxter, Kenneth Mounger and William Mounger. Service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, April 12, 1999 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
