Leland O. Hitch, farmer at R. R. 1, Lizton, died, Saturday, as the result of a heart attack he suffered in an implement store in Lebanon. He was 55 years of age.

A native of Montgomery County, he was born Feb. 24, 1911 and spent his lifetime engaged in farming.

He was a member of the Lizton Christian Church, Lions Club and the Pittsboro Masonic Lodge.

Services were Tuesday from the Lizton Christian Church with the Rev. Paul Whitsett officiating. Burial was in the K. of P. Cemetery there. The Jones & Matthews Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include the widow, Edna Jean Hitch; two children, Mrs. Patricia Clark, Ladoga, and Don Hitch, Lizton; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Ball, Ladoga, and Mrs. Elsie Daron, California; two brothers, Paul Hitch, Crawfordsville, and Herbert Hitch, Bainbridge.
