Obituary from Stevens Point Daily Journal:
"Peter Applebee -- Peter Applebee, 75, Plainfield, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Wautoma Hospital Wednesday. It is believed he was dead when his wife discovered him seated unconscious in a chair at their home about 11:30 a.m. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Mr. Applebee was born on June 29, 1887, in Plainfield, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Applebee. He lived in Milwaukee for 18 years. The rest of his life he was a resident of Plainfield.

Mr. Applebee and the former Mrs. Lula McBrair were married in Milwaukee Nov. 14, 1938. He is a retired welder.

Surviving are his wife, two stepsons, Milne McBrair, Milwaukee, and James McBrair, Wautoma, besides several stepgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Goult-Patterson-Hardell Funeral Home, Plainfield. Charles Preston will officiate. Burial will follow in the Plainfield Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home."
