At five o'clock on yesterday morning, April 23, little Mamie, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. H. M. Sailors, joined the angelhood of heaven. Little Mamie as in her seventh year, having been born on July 24, 1873. She had been prostrated for three weeks with scarlet fever. It was thought for a time that she would recover, but for the last few days, all hopes had vanished.
The deceased was a beautiful child and intelligent beyond her years. Always full of life, bright and vivacious. What must be the grief of her fond parents as their precious darling is laid away to rest today. May God comfort and protect them in this sad hour when their bitter cup is full. The death of little Mamie causes many hearts to ache and casts a gloom over many little playmates who loved her so well.
The funeral will occur today at three o'clock p.m. Brief religious services will be conducted at the house by Rev. L. A. Retts. Interment on Crown Point Cemetery.
