Sherman, Texas, October 29. - Funeral services will be held Monday for Robert Randell (Bob) Richardson, 57, retired captain of the Sherman police department and former cafe operator here. He died Saturday in a hospital.
Richardson was born November 26, 1890 at Pottsboro. He attended Pottsboro and Sherman Schools and the Old Captain Le Tellier's Academy in Sherman . He was married to Miss Maude Spencer, May 28, 1911. They moved to Sherman in 1911. Richardson operated a cafe in Sherman for years and in 1940 joined the Sherman Police Force. At the time of his retirement in 1947 he was captain. He was a member of the Baptist Church and the Odd Fellows.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, John R. Richardson of Alexandria, Virginia, and Tom Richardson of Sherman; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Cleary of Dallas and Mrs. Lloyd Henry of Sherman; two sisters, Mrs. Kate Jennings of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Tom Smith of Los Angeles, and 6 grandchildren.
