Autopsy Is Expected To Show Cause Of Death Of Mrs. Luce
MERCED, Jan. 12 - Funeral arrangements are pending at the Ivers & Alcorn Mortuary for Mrs. Myra S. Luce, 71, who was found dead in her home yesterday morning.
The cause of her death was not determined, and Dr. W. E. Lilley, coroner, is expected to complete an autopsy today.
She was found at her home by her ranch foreman, Ralph Burdell, when he made his usual trip to the home to report on ranch activities. She apparently had died Sunday night, according to the coroner.
Mrs. Luce was the widow of the late DeHart Luce, and the mother of Mrs. Leora Allen of Palo Alto, and Mrs. Myra Wyere of Pasadena.
She was widely known in the county as the owner of the Alfarata Ranch, near Merced.
