Lloyd E. Kelch, 88, of St. Marys, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus.


He was born June 16, 1921, in Versailles, to the late Adam and Anna Mae (Boomershine) Kelch.

He was also preceded in death by beloved wife Annabelle (Kley) Kelch; sister Dorothy Kelch; brother-in-law Glenn Brewer and sister-in-law Doris Kelch.


He was survived by daughter Mary Ann McElroy, Pickerington; grandchildren Brian (Tara) McElroy, Worthington, and Craig (Jeanna) McElroy, Pickerington; great-grandchildren Tiernan, Dolan and Dahlia McElroy, and Luke and Emma McElroy; brother John Kelch, Greenville; sister Wanda Brewer, Ansonia; best friend Rolla Werts; nieces, nephews and many dear friends.


He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a retired supervisor for the Goodyear Tire Company in St. Marys, where he was employed for more than 36 years. He was an avid fisherman and was a big OSU football and basketball fan.


Friends may visit from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 550 Hill Road North (St. Rt. 256), Pickerington. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Eastview United Methodist Church, 1045 Ross Road, Whitehall, with Pastor Dwayne Shugert officiating.
