PHILIP CANALE ARNOULT was born on August 18, 1916 in Memphis. He was the son of Christian R. Arnoult and Irene Canale. He served in the 90th Infantry Division in WWII and was the owner of Phil C. Arnoult Display Arts from 1947-1995 with offices first on Poplar, then Madison, and finally Angelus St. He was a leader and active in Catholic charities in Memphis serving as President of the St. Vincent de Paul Salvage Store for 2 years in the 1950's, President of the Sera Club in 1958, member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Council 616, Board member for the Ave Maria Guild Home for the Aged for 24 years. He was a communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Memphis. Mr. Arnoult is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Highberger Arnoult, two sons; Philip Foster Arnoult of Baltimore, Maryland and William Michael Arnoult, Sr. of Memphis, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Canale Funeral Chapel on Thursday, December 22 from 5-7 p.m. with a Rosary at 5:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 23 at 10 a.m. at Canale Funeral Chapel with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
