Leslie Charles "Buster" Mossing was born in Metamora, Ohio to Nicholas J. and Margaret Ellen (Smith) Mossing. He married the love of his life Isabella Victoria Koelsch on September 15, 1927 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Assumption, Ohio. They had 7 boys: Larry Nicholas, Ronald Victor, Kenneth Francis, Thomas Leon, Richard Leroy, Charles Phillip, and Daniel Lee. Buster worked as a carpenter in Toledo and when he came home the night of December 16, 1957 he sat down on the couch and had an unexpected heart attack which killed him.
