Bertha S. Thomas, 88, a native of Hamilton County, died Tuesday night at her home, 923 S. Anderson, St., Elwood, after a short illness.
She was born June 30, 1880 near Arcadia, daughter of William and Sarah Hartley. She was married in 1907 to Almond Thomas and he passed away in 1956. Mrs. Thomas belonged to the First United Methodist Church of Elwood.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gerald L. Mosbaugh, Elwood; Mrs. Gaynelle Goodwin, Gardena, Calif., six grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a sister, Mrs. Lee Kellum, Zanesville, Ohio.
