She was involved in community affairs and was a member of a quilt group. She was a dedicated church worker as a member of the New Prospect Free Will Baptist Church where she never missed a service. While she was in the nursing home, she didn't miss many services. She was a hard working farm wife and gave freely to (mdp) any in need. She loved her family and enjoyed making special dishes for her grandchildren, especially hot rolls. She took many nature walks and picked wildflowers with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willard; one son, Willard, Jr.; four brothers: Everett McDaniel, Paul McDaniel, Graden McDaniel and Herbert McDaniel; one sister, Vergie McDaniel; and one grandson, James Roy Brashers.
Survivors include one son, Donald Lee and wife, Lily Ragsdale, Springfield; two daughters: Viola Mae and husband, Pruitt Miller, Buffalo, and Erma Jean and husband, Roy Brashers, Washington, Ill.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; plus a host of other family and friends who will all sadly miss her.
