B.F. Offenbacker Dies At Elkton

ELKTON, July 31- Benjamin F. Offenbacker, 87, well known resident of Elkton died at his home here this (Monday) evening at 8:00 o'clock following a lingering illness.

Mr. Offenbacker was a son of the late Jacob F. and Mary T. Offenbacker of Page County. He was married to the former Miss Ellen Leap of this community. She preceded him in death. He was a life-long member of the Methodist Church. He was also an active member of the J.O.U.A.M. Council 149.

Surviving are four children, Mrs. J.L. Armentrout of Elkton; J. Frank Offenbacker, of Baltimore, Md.; T. Ralph Offenbacker, of Washington, D.C. and J. Ross Offenbacker, of Elkton, with whom he made his home. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Elmore Lynch, of Washington, D.C., and one brother, Philip Offenbacker, of Conover, Ohio. Five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted from the late home Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 and burial will be in the Elkton cemetery.
