Baker, William Chapman--4/1--Of Grand Rapids, MI, d. 2 Feb 1901, age 91.9.12, Baker Vault. [Ed. Note: CR14 shows 1st m. Kate Stewart, b. at Detroit 21 Jul 1830, d. 4 Oct 1853, age 33. 2nd m. Mary E. _______, d. at Minneapolis 1877. CR14 shows William the father of six, Mary Stewart, Eliza W., Elizabeth W., Kate Stuart, Looe, and William C. Jr. Kate would appear to be the mother of Mary S. and Eliza W. In addition Kate probably was the mother of Sarah Morris Baker, shown by Parker but not listed in The Combined Registers. Mary would appear to be the mother of Kate Stuart and William C. Baker, Jr. The absence of precise dates makes it unclear which of the two remaining children i.e., Elizabeth W. and Looe, are the offspring of which wife].
