91, died in Prescott on 9/13/08. Born 9/6/16 in Pittsburgh PA, she graduated from West Liberty College, Columbia Univ (MA), and ASU (EdD). Moving to Phx in 1953, she was a teacher and counselor at WestHS. She is predeceased by husband Dr Ted Borek, Phx College, and sisters Margaret and Elizabeth. She is survived by siblings Dorothy, Myral, Joe; son Ted B. Borek (Karen); two grandchildren, Chris and Catherine, and four great grandchildren. Mary served on boards of the YWCA and First Congregational Church. She was registered with the DAR and was co-founder of Anytown AZ, a human relations workshop for youth. She will be inurned with her husband of 60 yrs at Arlington National Cemetery on 12/21/09.Published in The Arizona Republic on December 13, 2009
