MRS. LEWIS C. HIGDAY
Mrs. Emma Miller Higday, 79, a former Kansas City elementary school teacher, died Tuesday in Bolivar. She was born in Miller, MO., and had taught here several years before 1957. Mrs. Higday was a member of the Community Christian Church, the Kappa Kappa Iota sorority. Her husband, Lewis C. Higday of the home, survives. Services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Saturday at the Pitts Chapel, Bolivar, burial in Bolivar.
1st Spouse: Dr. Calvin Buchanan Taylor, married on 10 May 1916 in Carthage, Jasper, Missouri at her parents house on North Maple.
Note: Emma's parents, William T. and Sarah Ellen (McClure) Miller lived at 209 North Maple in Carthage, MO according to the 1920 census. Emma & Calvin divorced on February 7, 1922.
2nd Spouse: Lewis Charles Higday, married on 9 September 1958 in Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri.
