VALPARAISO -- Rena T. Ebersold, age 85, of Valparaiso, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2001, at her residence. She was born December 27, 1915 in Michigan City to Charles V. and Lillian (Mansfield) Thorgren. On October 6, 1940 she married Alexander Ebersold who preceded her in death. Surviving are two children, Jon M. Ebersold and Mary Ann Ebersold, both of Valparaiso. Also surviving are one brother, Robert C. (Elinor) Thorgren of Valparaiso; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ebersold was preceded in death by one sister, Marilyn Thorgren and one brother, Ernest Thorgren. She was employed as a secretary for McGills for several years and Thorgren Tool and Molding where she retired. She was also a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Valparaiso and was an avid world traveler.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2001 at 11:30 A.M. at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe, Valparaiso, IN, with Rev. Donald Williams officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Tuesday. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
