Coulter, Mary Olive, 92, passed away December 10, 2009. Mary had many friends in Wichita where she was known, admired and respected for her love of life, the pride she had for Wichita, the encouragement she always gave to others and the indomitable spirit God graced her with. Mary was born July 24, 1917 in Clearwater, KS, attended local schools and graduated from Wichita North High School. She married Jamie Fall Coulter, who was Bell Captain at the Allis Hotel at the time of their marriage. He precedes her in death. They had five children: Mary Alice Peckham (deceased), Jamie Bennett Coulter (wife Kimberly), Kay Ellen Leff (husband George), Susan Furstenberg (husband Frank), and the Rev. Joseph Fall Coulter (wife Linda). She has twelve grandchildren. Mary worked at Boeing Wichita for 10 years, Hinkels Department Store and was well known locally for her popular Mary Coulter Liquor Store, which she owned and operated from 1976 through 1992 when she sold her business. She was a member of the Eastern Star, The Grand Army of the Republic, and Crestview Country Club. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at Broadway Mortuary.
