BORN IN SARATOGA COUNTY.
Abner H. Burtch, who had served the people long and faithfully in various official capacities, died at 11 o'clock on Saturday morning at his home in Fonda, after a long illness, aged 72 years. Mr. Burtch has been a sufferer from diabetes for about three years and something like a year ago suffered a stroke of paralysis, since which his decline has been gradual.
Abner Hall Burtch, son of John and Hannah (Hall) Burtch, was born in Saratoga County on the fourth day of February, 1835.
In 1844 his father, John Burtch, removed to Fonda, where he resided until his death.
