Chicago, Ill., July 26.—William Frederick DeWolf, a prominent resident of Chicago, died yesterday at his home, No. 108 Pine street, at the age of eighty-five years. Mr. DeWolf had lived in Chicago since 1847. He was a native of Bristol, R.I., and a graduate of Brown University. He studied law with the father of Samuel J. Randall.

The funeral of William F. De Wolf, No. 108 Blue street, was held yesterday afternoon at St. James Church, Cass and Huron streets, the Rev. S. J. French officiating. Committal services were read at the grave by the pastor. Interment was at Graceland.
