Bill Guiles, 73, of Baytown, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX, due to complications from back surgery. He was born February 27, 1936 in Winnfield, Louisiana to his late parents, Owen Guiles and Elvie Curry Guiles.

Bill was a resident of Baytown since 1955, a retired, self-employed Physical Therapist, served in the US Army and was an avid outdoorsman. His favorite pastimes were being papaw, golfing, fishing and hunting.

Bill was a minister of the gospel and devoted husband, dad, granddaddy and great-granddaddy. His world revolved around his family and his ministry.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rena Faye Wolverton; father-in-law, Weldon McClellan and mother-in-law, Edna McClellan.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Ruth Guiles; sons, Ken Guiles and his wife Terri and Gregory Lee Guiles and his wife Elena all of Baytown; sisters, Mary Ann Bain and her husband Norman of Horseshoe Bay, Texas and Marlene Perow and her husband Charles of Pineville. Louisiana; grandchildren, Carla Guiles Oliver, Brandon Lee Guiles and his wife Angie, Kenda Guiles Wilson and her husband Brad, Caleb Guiles and his fiancé Jessi Ruddick and Ashton Alexander Guiles; great-grandchildren, Gage Oliver, Drake Hunter Wilson and Joseph Wyatt Wilson and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Navarre Funeral Home with Pastor M. Joe Kearse and Pastor Ted Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2009 at Navarre funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Steve Wolverton, Mark Perow, Allen Noland, Will Hilton, J. B. Turner and Justin Cantu. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be all of his grandchildren and Richard Romagnoli
