She was born February 9, 1830, near Oxford Bend, this county, the daughter of William David and Elizabeth (Oxford) Boyd.
She was an 80 year member of the M. E. Church, South.
She and John Franklin "Frank" Barr. were married in 1849. They were the parent of nine children.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, two sons, a daughter, a brother and three sisters.
She is survived by six children, Mrs. Mack (Melle) Davis, Mrs. J. P. (Sarah Belle) Woolsey, Mrs. L. P. Davis, James H. Barr, Mrs. R. E. (Ida G.) Bagby, and Frank Barr; two brothers, Albert Washington Boyd and William Boyd; and a sister, Rebecca Margaret Walker.
A Funeral Service was held Tuesday, April 10, 1923, from the home of her son, Frank, with the Reverands J. A. Womack and N. M. Ragland officiating.
Burial is in the Evergreen Cemetery at Fayetteville.
