Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. at Hart Memorial Chapel last Sunday, May 30, for William C. Brown who died May 28, at the Siloam Springs Hospital. Born March 3, 1889 at Chance, he was t he son of Marshall and Mary Ghormley Brown, and was resident of the Westville Nursing Home prior to his death.
Rev. Bud Lacie officiated at the service with music by Mrs. Harold Ray Hart. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery at Chance, under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
He is survived by one daughter, Jewell Brown of Tulsa; one son Russell Brown of Oklahoma City. three nieces, Mae Sheffield, Westville, Bertha Parker, Tahlequah and Ada Proctor of Proctor. One nephew, Bert Morris of Tulsa.
