M. Musette (Ford) Howland, 94, of Neath, Pa. (Rome RR) passed away peacefully on Feb. 18, 2016.
She was born on Dec. 19, 1921 to the late Claude W. and Florence (Manchester) Ford on Orwell Ridge, Orwell Township, Pa. where she grew up. Musette attended Orwell High School and graduated from the Rome High School. It was at the Dermal-Way School of Beauty Culture in Elmira, N.Y. where she furthered her education and worked at that profession for over 30 years. On June 15, 1944 she married Kenneth D. Howland of Neath who preceded her in death on July 28, 1993. Together they owned and operated the family farm all their married life. Musette will be greatly missed by her two children and their spouses Elaine (Raymond) Pennoyer of Neath, Russell (Karla) Howland of Neath; four special grandchildren Jennifer (Wayne) Neuber of Neath, Kristy (Casey) McPherson of Neath, Kyle (Ginger) Howland of Neath, Joel (Amanda) Howland of Potterville; six great grandchildren which she loved so much, Maisie and Emma Neuber, Cayden and Karmyn McPherson, Kale and Sydney Howland. A sister and brother-in-law Kay (Merle) Fice; sister-in-law Janet Ford Carr; brother-in-law Bill McCune; brother-in-law and sister-in-law George (Grace) Howland. Many nieces, nephews and their families also survive.
She was predeceased by her sisters Cleone (Joseph) Rusnock, Jan McCune; brothers Lloyd (Virginia) Ford, Stanley Ford; sisters-in-law Eva Louise (Clifford) Allyn, Mary (Raymond) Hutchings. Abiding with her wishes, there will be no visitation or memorial service. Interment will be at a later date and at the convenience of the family in the Neath Cemetery.
