Lenon M. Rowland Feb. 28, 1921 - Aug. 13, 2005 Lenon Marlon Rowland, 84, of Henderson died Aug. 13, 2005, at his son's home.

Funeral services were held Aug. 15 at Palestine Baptist Church with the Rev. Anthony Rowland officiating. Burial followed in Palestine Cemetery in Chester County.

He was born and reared in the Palestine community of Chester County, the son of the late Gentry and Letah Cox Rowland. He attended schools in Chester County. His father moved the family to Missouri to farm and Lennon married Ida Belle Grissom of Parma Missouri in 1941. They later made their home in Jackson, TN. Mrs. Rowland died in 1977. Lennon farmed until he lost a portion of his leg in a corn picker accident. He was then employed with Whalley Construction as a mechanic in the shop. He moved to Henderson in 1985.

He is survived by a son, Ronald D. Rowland of Henderson; a daughter, Janet Peddy of Illinois; a brother, Harold W. Rowland.
