WITH FONDEST MEMORIES

Lytle Creek lost something very special when Vera Kravetz died Saturday, July 17. She had been ill for some time.

She and Joe have lived in Happy Jack for a little more than ten years. There were retired when they came here and they had already raised their family.

Vera was always a joy to others. She was a beautiful lady, always appearing to be "just around the corner from thirty" with a bounce in her step that belied her age and her illness.

Vera had a smile for everyone and I never heard her say an unkind word about anyone. Although her illness lasted a long time, she never complained.

Vera was generous and hard working. She was a vital part of the "The Canyon" staff until the end. She enjoyed bunco, and was a member in good standing at her church.

We will grieve for Vera for a long time but we will all be better for having had the opportunity to know her.

"Grief should be
Like joy, majestic, equable, sedate,
Confirming, cleansing, raising, making free;
Strong to consume small troubles; to command
Great thoughts, grave thoughts, thoughts lasting to the end."

God hath not promised Skies always blue,
Flower strew pathways All our lives through;
God hath not promised Sun without rain,
Joy without sorrow, Peace without pain.
But God hat promised Strength for the day,
Rest for the labor, Light for the way,
Grace for the trials, Help from above,
Unfailing sympathy, Undying love......"

"A little more kindness is what this world needs, A little more living in words and in deeds; A little more helping of brother along; A little more smiling, A little more song; A little more lifting Of somebody's care; A little more giving, A little more prayer; A little more thinking On thigs that are true; A little more patience and tenderness too; A little more brushing Of worries away; A little more thanking for blessings each day; A little more climbing Toward some shining goal, A little more seeking For things of the soul; A little more courage in paths still untrod, A little more trusting in mankind and God!"
