Agnes Mae Hansberger Lantz Helsley, 93 of Edinburg, died peacefully at the home of her daughter and son-in law, Peggy and Clayton Smoot, surrounded by her family.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, 11:00 AM at Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock by Pastor Katie Gosswein and Rev. Wendell Schurtz. Burial will follow at Union Forge Cemetery.

Mrs. Helsley was born August 20, 1916 at Conicville, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Dycie Dellinger Hansberger.

She was employed by Blue Ridge Poultry and Aileen. She was a member of St. Jacobs Lutheran Church, the Columbia Furnace Community Club, and Women of the ECLA.

Mrs. Helsley was preceded in death by her husbands, William Lantz and Stanley Helsley, a son, Charles Lantz, and two sisters, Florence Shafer and Virginia Hepner.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Peggy and husband Clayton Smoot of Maurertown; a daughter-in-law, Linda Lantz of Maryland; Granddaughters, Lisa Garman and her husband Brian of Manassas, Teresa Bond of Manassas, and Melissa Rice and husband Billy of Maurertown; great grandchildren, Megan and Blake Garman and Jared and Tyler Rice.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at the Dellinger Funeral, Woodstock.
