Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 2 p. m. for Cephas Tidwell, 54, who died
Monday morning at the local hospital following, a heart attack.

Rev. E. V. Brooks officiated at the services in Oak Street Baptist Church. He was assisted by a former pastor of the church, Rev. R: B. Murray of Big Spring. Burial was in Colorado City Cemetery.

Tidwell, owner and operator of an auto parts shop in Colorado City, was born in Walnut
Springs Oct. 25, 1905. He had been a resident of Colorado City since 1923. He and Eliza Agnes Collins were married in Carlsbad, N. M. Aug. 15, 1929. Mrs. Tidwell died May 17, 1949
Tidwell married Mrs. Thelma Conner in Colorado City, Feb. 2, 1951.

He is survived by his wife of Colorado City; a foster daughter, Mrs. Darrell Shurtleff of Colorado City: a stepdaughter, Mrs. Lee Herndon of Big Spring and a brother, Jimmie Tidwell of Justiceburg.

Pallbearers were Emmett G. Banks Sr., O. A. Ruffin,. Wendell Thomas, Howard Cain, L. D. Maines and Lawrence Ruddick.
