Fredericka was born the fifteenth of nineteen children on July 17th 1715, sadly only 8 survived past the age of 18. Frederick III, John August, William, Christian William, Louis Ernest, Maurice, Augusta, and John Adolph. Her sister Augusta married Frederick Prince of Wales, making her Princess of Wales by marriage, and her brother Johann Adolf was a lieutenant general.
On November 27th 1734 she married Prince Johann Adolph making her Duchess of Saxe-Weissenfels. After her husband died in 1746, she retired to Dryburg Castle and then built Federicka's Castle where she died in Langensalza.
In total she had 5 children all who died in infancy.
