Flossie Silverthorne was born to Ellis and Anna Silverthorne. July 22, 1987. She had two sisters, Hazel and Silvia. They farmed in Grand River Township, Hebron Iowa. She graduated from Cedar Falls and taught country school before she married. She married Herbert William Buck in 1910. They had three childern Audra Doyle, Ada Lucille, and Leslie Earle. They farmed until 1951 when they moved into Greenfield and retired. She died suddenly in August of 1966.
