Garth Neil Panter 1930 ~ 2009 On Dec.3, 2009, Garth Neil Panter passed away of natural causes. Garth "Ol' One Punch Panter" was born on July 28, 1930 in Dayton, Idaho to Ken and Thora Panter. He was married to Waneta Egbert on February 2, 1949 in Washington State. She preceded him in death in February of 1989. Garth is survived by his sisters, Lavaudis Jenson and Kliss Madrid, sons Doug Panter, Brent (Nancy) Panter; daughters Christine (Bert) Warren, Sheldon (Kimberly) Panter, Sharon (Larry) Panter, and Pamela (Tom) Kennedy; 23 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandaughter. He was a #2 Middle-Weight boxing champion fighter, going up against Sugar Ray Robinson and Gene Fulmer. Garth was an Ironworker for over 30 years. He was loved and will be missed by all. Services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, December 7, 2009, at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1941 N. Main, Farmington, UT , where friends and family may call on Sunday, from 5-7 p.m. and on Monday 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment is at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery in Bountiful, Utah.
