Caroline (Miller) MORTIER was the daughter of Barbara Katrina MULLER and the stepdaughter of her mother's second husband, John MORTIER. She was the wife of John Cory (m: 28 Jan 1857 in Palmyra, Jefferson County, Wisconsin), and the mother of 11. All of John's and Caroline's 11 children were born in Palmyra except for the four youngest who, following their parent's travel to Iowa (1870), from Wisconsin, in a Prairier Schooner, were born at Republic, IA.
