Husband of Ida Elizabeth Benton Barnes, my father's sister. Austin died as the result of an accident in the coal mines. He did not make it till the 1930 US Census, but the page is attached here with his family. He also did not live to bear the death of his only son, Lewis, who is buried with him and his widow, my Aunt Ida. She never remarried.

Deceased daughters not listed due to lack of burial information are Maudie Alma Barnes Kelley 1919-1985; Rosie Lee Barnes (Jones?) 1923-1983; and Annie Louise Barnes Suddeth 1924-2006.
