Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday for William Kinchen Alford, 78, retired Dallas barbershop owner. The Rev. Harlan Nelson will officiate at rites in the Ramona Avenue Baptist Church, 3200 Ramona.
Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park.
Alford, who had lived here since 1914, died Friday [March 6] in a Dallas Hospital after a long illness. He lived at 702 First Street. He was a native of Georgia and a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Edna Hopkins, Mrs. Emma Jordan, Mrs. Blanche Lowe, Mrs. Virginia Kattes, Mrs. Mary Benedict, Mrs. Dorothy Pritchett, and Mrs. Hazel Shipp, and a brother Walter Alford, all of Dallas; eighteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Campbell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
